Abstract
Nova Persei 1901, also known as GK Per, is an intermediate polar and dwarf nova cataclysmic variable discovered on February 1901. It has been extensively studied in various wavelengths for over a century. This review focuses on the main characteristics of the object and highlights the first dynamical mass study published by Alvarez-Hernandez et al. 2021, 120 years after its discovery.
