Abstract
This proceeding gives a short overview on current trends for Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations of lattice QCD on supercomputers. State-of-the-art lattice QCD calculations are becoming more and more essential in the search for new physics at the precision (intensity) frontier. Within this proceeding a brief
discussion on methods is given for the generation of ensembles at larger lattice sizes and finer
lattice spacings as well as methods to reach higher statical accuracy.
