Abstract
The observed flavour anomalies in $b\to s\ell\ell$ quark-level transitions offer a platform for indirect searches for signals of New Physics. This contribution focuses on the ATLAS and CMS results from $B \to K^*\mu\mu$ angular analyses and the effective field theory interpretation of the low-$p_{\mathrm T}$ discrepancies. In addition, it discusses the possibility to also accommodate the muon $g-2$ anomaly, in particular the corner of the supersymmetric parameter space left in smuon searches at the LHC
