The measurement of $\mathrm{B}_\mathrm{c}^+(2\mathrm{S})$ and $\mathrm{B}_\mathrm{c}^{+*}(2\mathrm{S})$ cross section ratios by the CMS experiment is reported, as well as the observation of a new excited beauty strange baryon decaying to $\Xi_\mathrm{b}^-\pi^+\pi^-$ final state. Both analyses use proton-proton collision data collected at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV.
