Abstract
The measurements of heavy flavour production in pp collisions provide crucial inputs to study both perturbative and non-perturbative quantum chromodynamics. Moreover these measurements allow to improve the precision on the study of heavy hadron decays.
LHCb has a large program of studies of heavy flavour production and it has, compared with other experiments at the LHC, the unique feature to cover the very forward region.
In this paper the most recent results on the quarkonia production and fragmentation fractions for various kind of heavy hadrons are presented.
