Abstract
The interior of neutron stars contains strongly interacting matter at extremely high densities,
perhaps up to ten times nuclear matter saturation density. Under such conditions, it is natural to assume that exotic matter beyond nucleons appears. This includes hyperons and other baryonic resonances, meson condensates, as well as free quarks. In this article, we discuss some implications for such matter on neutron star properties.
