Search for rare Higgs boson decays and BSM Higgs bosons

Abstract
The ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider are designed to efficiently collect proton-proton collision events containing a hard scattering process, which may produce Higgs bosons. Both experiments have collected data equivalent to about 12 million Higgs bosons as of the end of 2023. This large statistics dataset allows to search for rare Higgs boson decays and extra Higgs bosons appearing in various theories beyond the standard model (BSM) in the wider mass range. In these proceedings, recent results related to Higgs physics from the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations are discussed, focusing on radiative decays and heavy BSM Higgs bosons.
